Welcome to 'Chennai Heat 2012'

If you are an Ultimate Frisbee Enthusiast Chennai Heat 2012 (12-14th October) is a tournament you cannot miss. India’s only Beach Ultimate Tournament is coming back with a bang for the 5th consecutive year, to sweep us off our feet.

What is Ultimate Frisbee?
Ultimate is an exciting, non-contact, coed team sport, played by thousands the world over. It mixes the best features of sports such as Soccer, Basketball, American Football and Netball into an elegantly simple yet fascinating and demanding game. Ultimate Frisbee is played on a rectangular field with two end zones, one at either end, teams score a goal by passing the disc amongst themselves and receiving a catch in the opposite end zone. However, players may not run with the disc.

Chennai Heat, a 7 v 7 tournament, will encourage 4:3 gender ratio, 5:2 will be accepted. Boys under the age of 15 cannot replace women, on the line. The Tournament will have games both in the morning and evening. The evening games will happen under floodlights. The matches are open to the public audience.
